BTPA Membership Categories

To be a student member of BTPA you need to be undertaking Bowen Training with one of the BTPA approved schools or teachers for a list of approved schools and teachers.

BTPA is offering one year's FREE membership to all students undertaking Bowen courses with any of the schools and teachers approved by BTPA. The free membership entitlement will take effect from the first day of their first module and will last for one calendar year from that date or until they successfully graduate as qualified practitioners - whichever comes first.

This exciting opportunity will enable students to become familiar with the world of Bowen practice and practitioners.

For their membership to become active each student must complete a BTPA membership form and return it in the usual way to the Membership Secretary. Details are contained in the BTPA prospectus, which they will receive from their trainer at the commencement of their course, or which can be requested from the Membership Secretary.

BTPA also requires that you hold a current First Aid certificate. The minimum BTPA requirement is a one day course that includes resuscitation where the certificate is valid for three years. These courses are available from The British Red Cross and St John Ambulance. Both organisations have a regular programme of courses throughout the country. Some Colleges of Further Education and Local Councils also offer similar courses and can sometimes be cheaper. BTPA also accepts current First Aid certificates that have been gained through work e.g. Nurses, Air Stewards or ‘First Aid at Work’ and ‘Life Savers’.

If your Bowen qualification was gained more than 12 months ago, you will need to provide a certificate showing you have attended 2 days BTPA approved Bowen workshop training
