What complaint(s) or symptom(s) brought you to the Bowen Technique:
De Quervain's Tenosynovitis
Testimonial of your Bowen Therapy experience (how have you benefitted?):
I had a specific problem with my wrist De Quervain's Tenosynovitis which was incredibly painful. I'd worn a wrist splint for 4 weeks and had anti inflammatory tablets for as long, with no real improvement. I heard about Bowen from a friend who practices but distance was too great to use her. I looked on the web and Ray Edwards was very local to my work. My first visit included an in depth chat about previous health issues but this was carried out professionally and not at all intrusive. The surroundings, Ray's home, were also professional and I felt completely at ease in his presence. Bowen is carried out whilst one is fully clothed (except shoes). Whilst having the treatments I felt totally relaxed almost to the point of nodding off! I was surprised at the gentleness of the Bowen movements on the body and having had deep tissue massage in the past wondered how these small, gentle movements could help. But help they did! If this had not happened to me personally I would not have believed the difference I felt after just one treatment. I could move my wrist without pain and after three treatments it was as though a miracle had happened. Friends were astounded as they had seen me struggling to do my job and household chores. Other comments I received after the treatment were "you look so well, have you been away?" and three people actually said I looked "glowing". I still have no idea how Bowen helps but I can't recommend it highly enough why don't you try it for yourself?
